Sunday Jan 12, 2020
Our Podcasts have reached double figures with this being our tenth episode to be uploaded. In this discussion, the first of two parts, we talk with Chris Quinlan who is a music educator and the man behind the iconic 'Melbourne Muso's' program on Melbourne's Channel 31. Chris talks candidly about his upbringing in the Melbourne pub network of the 60's, his strong work ethic garnered through his beginnings & subsequent musical education, his formative teaching years and the formation of the humble little program which started as a way to provide free music lessons within a television show, accessible to all. Chris is an amazing person to chat with, with his wealth of knowledge, both musical and worldly, and the anecdotes he provides of times gone by when the world was little simpler. We hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we did.

Ep # 9 Warrick Smith: Busy acting or acting busy?
Sunday Jan 05, 2020
Sunday Jan 05, 2020
Warrick Smith is a prolific actor among amateur theatre circles. His dedication to the craft is evident when he talks about his preparation for a role, the expectation of himself & fellow cast members and his joy in stepping out into the lights. He is not bound to one genre as we have witnessed his skill in many varied roles from drama to comedy to pantomime. We have had the pleasure of working directly with Warrick having cast him in the protagonist role in 'Wake Me Up Before I Burgle!' written by Paul and the narrator of 'Once Upon A Rhyme' written by Faye and each time he has inhabited these characters in a way that would make it hard for another actor to be considered. We caught up with Warrick while in rehearsal for 'One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest' with Eltham Little Theatre Inc. We had the honour of attending the show and witnessed a very raw and honest portrayal from Warrick that we know will stay with us for some time. Please enjoy this chat with a dedicated soul and good friend.

Ep # 8 Nathanial Ioannou: The graduate
Sunday Dec 15, 2019
Sunday Dec 15, 2019
Nathanial came into our lives through amatuer theatre being thrust into a role, possibly beyond his years, which he made his own. We have watched Nathanial grow in the roles that he took on and allowed him to find his feet with explorations into TV, notably morning traffic reports in Melbourne. Nathanial also has a love of radio which has seen him produce his own podcast series and devote a lot of time to. He has also recently graduated in studies for film, radio and television. We look forward to seeing where Nathanials studies and drive take him.

Ep # 7 John Ballestrino: Man of the people
Sunday Dec 08, 2019
Sunday Dec 08, 2019
John Ballestrino comes from a sporting background which is the polar opposite to the arts. However, via his association with 'The Creative Couple', has gained a healthy respect for the arts and has become just as fierce a supporter as his love for sports. Having been involved with youth sports ranging from softball to boxing, John has a different perspective on the competitive nature of both sports and arts and see's the merit and the passion that both spheres produce. John is also an unflinching supporter of 'The Creative Couple' since we served together on a local Cancer Council Relay For Life committee and forged a strong friendship. John works within government and has been recognised for his service to the community with an OBE award and has worked with such high profile politicians as Julia Gillard and Jill Hennessey. We hope you enjoy Johns unique perspective and the passion he brings to all projects he gets involved with.

Seemingly by accident she found herself in a theatrical role that lead to many roles thereafter. We had the pleasure of watching Tesse bring roles of ours to life and we have remained friends form that shared experience. Ep # 4 Ron Fenton: Escapism and inspiration!
Sunday Nov 17, 2019
Sunday Nov 17, 2019
We have known Ron Fenton for many years as an inspiration and a dear family friend. Ron's ability to overcome a horrific injury as well as crippling PTSD from his long career as a sergeant in the Victorian Police Force, often makes us take a step back when we're feeling overwhelmed & down and reflect on what we have. Ron is amazingly upbeat about his life and acting has been a major part of his soul that allows him not only a form of escapism but also as a type of therapy that keeps him positive whether that be in comedic or dramatic roles. We have seen many sides of Ron but in this podcast we hope to bring you the caring, inspirational, supportive figure that we hold dear to our hearts. Please enjoy this chat with a talented performer and our dear friend, Ron Fenton.

Ross Niven spends a great deal of time in the clouds, both figuratively and literally. By day Ross attends to airline passengers on one of Australia's busy domestic airlines, while his other life sees him play guitar in one of Melbourne's newest prog-rock outfits, Cirrus Cloud. Ross talks candidly with us about his musical beginnings, his love of photography, his family and his struggles with mental health. We were struck by his enormous capacity for compassion and his general love of the life he has created for his family and the joy his talent has brought him. We also love that Ross is a hugger! This chat is filled with warmth and positivity that is simply a part of Ross' heart and soul. We hope you enjoy this chat and be sure to check out Cirrus Crown. https://cirruscrown.com.au/

Ep # 2 Kindar Soares: Spiritually driven
Sunday Nov 03, 2019
Sunday Nov 03, 2019
In this episode we talk to Kindar Soares who we first met in an amateur production of 'Arsenic And Old Lace' that our company, at the time, was producing around the mid 2000's. Kindars journey started in Darwin with a walk on line in a school play. Although Kindar was bitten by the theatre bug early it wasn't until his eventual settling in Melbourne's west and answering a paper add for an audition that his acting was given the stage time it deserved. Kindars warmth and humility is on show throughout this conversation as he talks candidly about his background and the challenges he has faced both with acceptance and his spiritual grounding.
